Embark on the journey to one of the most beautiful regions of Balkans, region of Herzegovina. On this trip you will have a chance to enjoy in natural beauty of 4 crown jewels of Herzegovina: Mostar, Buna, Počitelj and Kravice waterfall. Departure is in the morning and our first stop will be Mostar, beautiful town on Neretva river. Mostar is home to the world famous Old Bridge (Stari most), a UNESCO World Heritage Site, built by the Ottomans in the 16th century is on of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s most famous landmarks. After Mostar, we will continue our trip to Kravice waterfall on Trebizat river, in the hart of Herzegovina, this natural paradise is 40 kilometers south of Mostar. Hight of waterfall is about 25 meters and it’s popular swimming and picnic area. After Kravice waterfall we will visit Pocitelj, medieval town located on the left bank of the Neretva river, 30 kilometers south of Mostar. Počitelj represents on of the few urban ensembles in Bosnia and Herzegovina that was preserved to the present times. It’s significant strategic role from the 13th to 17th century gave it’s inhabitants the power to build one of the most important and best preserved fortifications in the region. Počitelj’s layout puts it into the group of Ottoman-Mediterranean types of small settlements. Our final stop before driving back to Sarajevo will be Vrelo Bune (Buna river spring) near Blagaj. It is impossible to separate the natural values from the cultural and historical heritage of Blagaj, since its distinctive quality is in the coexistence of the natural and man-made, in the integration of the physical structure into the landscape. After a long day of exploring one of the most beautiful areas of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Balkan region, we will had back to Sarajevo from where we started our unforgettable journey.
